Job Description:

Pick up and deliver parts or materials for our maintenance operations and warehouse, as needed. Assist maintenance mechanics to install, repair, and maintain facility equipment.

Parts Handler/Driver:

  • Pick up and deliver parts to/from designated locations.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain files of items received or on back order.
  • Receive and account for incoming deliveries of parts and inventory.
  • Secure estimates and cost quotes as needed.

Additional Maintenance Helper Duties:

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Clean maintenance shop and other work areas as needed.
  • Clean tools, machines, and removes trash as needed.
  • Organize parts machine shop or other storage areas.
  • Keep maintenance storage organized and maintained.
  • Drive forklift and scissor lift to move, store, and organize equipment in a safe manner.
  • Assist mechanics with repairs of production or building equipment during shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Experience and Skills:

Skills & Qualifications:

  •  Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn to read and interpret machine manuals
  • Ability to learn how to set a machine up properly (including checking the computer for settings)
  • Ability to take readings from machine gauges and identify when a machine is not operating properly.
  • Ability to follow task directions and ask questions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed to complete projects and preventative maintenance work.

 Additional consideration will be given to candidates with the following skills:

  • Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Word, and ability to use the internet to research machinery and possible fixes)
  • Ability to quickly learn maintenance software program
